The list of assisted living options in the area (we are out of town) got us launched. Contact names and phones were also essential, including for screeners. Help with power of attorney was key. We anticipate some further advice re property liquidation. Assistance was prompt and on target during a period when we were stretched thin by an overwhelming number of medical and logistical challenges.

Our family was in desperate need when I called Julie Sentiff, whose name I got from a nurse at Kenmore Mercy. We’d been lovingly managing my dear mom’s dementia at home for years, but her symptoms were progressing, and had brought us to the hospital. We were lost, exhausted and grieving. And so, from the parking lot of KMH, I bared my soul to Julie in a tearful phone call, and the compassion and patience she displayed immediately assuaged my fears.

Julie then went to bat for us, presenting us with options for Mom’s care, working with hospital staff on our behalf, arranging tours at the memory care residences of our choosing, and making sure Mom’s transport from KMH went as smoothly as possible for all of us.

Julie kept in touch with us throughout it all and was a source of knowledge, advice and encouragement. From our perspective, she moved mountains in a matter of 48 hours, and delivered to us a peace we’ve not known in years.
