Ken Knudsen, CSA

Owner of Charleston, Midlands, Myrtle Beach, Pee Dee, and Upstate

"Families can trust our team because we treat every family as if they were our own."

Ken and his wife, Cynthia, launched CarePatrol SC in 2012.

Prior to entering the world of senior living, Ken had an executive level career in manufacturing, including 25 years of starting new companies. Certainly not the typical background one would associate with senior placement services, but personal experiences changed the course for him.

He found himself in the same position as many of the families we serve. His mother needed to find a senior living community within days, and they didn’t know where to start. He discovered that it’s a system not easily navigated without advice and direction from professionals; and the short time frame they had, didn’t allow much room for figuring it out on their own. The family was frustrated and overwhelmed, and he decided to find a better way for families in South Carolina to walk through this.

Ken then became a Certified Senior Advisor and learned the landscape of senior living and care in SC before speaking to his first CarePatrol client. His business background is a great asset to families who need assistance with financial questions, budgeting, and comprehending long-term care policies. Remembering the helplessness his family felt fuels his desire to serve families in similar situations.

Ken and Cynthia have two grown children and are active in various ministry and civic organizations in the state. They have assembled a team of professionals throughout South Carolina who are compassionate, knowledgeable, and proud to help families with one of life’s most difficult and harrowing transitions
