Kathy Smith received a BA in Sociology and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland. She has been working with the geriatric population for over 20 years as a social worker and a business development manager. For the past 9 years, she has worked with hospice patients in various long-term, rehab, and assisted living facilities in the Baltimore area. Education and support for the community, as well as guidance for the families, have been the focus of her work. Kathy’s passion has always been to work with the elderly. I feel it is a privilege to work alongside families to guide them in finding the best environment that their loved one can call home. Kathy lives in Phoenix, MD, with her husband. She has 4 grown children and two grandchildren. She tries to find time to play tennis, paddle, and pickleball.
