- How might understanding brain changes that occur with dementia improve ability to provide the “just right” level of support for improved quality of care?
- How can one apply awareness of changes to vision, hearing, sensation and language processing to decrease falls and refusals?
- What is Positive Physical Approach ®(PPA)? And Hand Under Hand ®? How can use of these techniques reduce resistance?
- How can putting relationship first lead to more positive outcomes with interactions? How do Positive Action Starters (PAS) help reduce resistance when getting started with a care task?
- What are GEMs? How might awareness of a person’s GEM State and personal preferences support improved interactions and outcomes?

For professionals in independent, assisted and memory care senior living communities, professional care partners working at home care agencies, AND family caregivers of people living with dementia. Certificate of completion provided.
