Spotlight On Kathryn Scott
About Kathryn:
I am the mother to two grown sons, and 3 ridiculous Pugs. I am a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with the state of Texas and come from an extensive background in helping seniors through physical therapy and rehab both as a therapist, and as Director of Rehabilitation for multi-discipline therapy teams. In my free time I love spending time with family, training in martial arts, and working in my vegetable garden.
Why I Do This:
Our current healthcare industry is confusing and difficult, and the need to transition to senior living is often set off by a medical event that forces a fast decision that a lot of seniors are unprepared to navigate. I get a deep emotional satisfaction from helping families navigate that stress and chaos to find calm and confident solutions for their loved one, and firmly believe I have the best job in the world!
Years In Area:
I am a lifelong West Houston resident, and have loved watching the city grow and thrive over the last 50 years.
Knowledge of the Area:
I am always out in the field, and know the communities in Central and West Houston like the back of my hand. Nothing beats being there in person, but I also frequently check the government websites for violations or other issues.
Before CarePatrol:
Prior to CarePatrol, I was a Regional Director of Operations for a large national therapy company. I ran the therapy program for nineteen different skilled nursing facilities across Texas and New Mexico during COVID. My experiences left me with a deep knowledge of the senior healthcare industry, and strong problem solving skills that I love to use to help seniors and their families.
Best Traits:
I would describe myself as warmhearted, approachable, protective and caring.
